The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Morristown. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical abilities and functional limitations.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on the latest clinical research and patient needs.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities, providing skilled care to improve patients' physical function and quality of life.
• Deliver and document progress notes that reflect patient progress and address goals set in collaboration with each patient.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service, ensuring that every interaction is positive and conducive to enhancing patient engagement and recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and physicians, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers to promote self-management and long-term health strategies.
• Meet established utilization goals and maintain administrative responsibilities, including scheduling and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, although there will be opportunities to engage with pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. You will be instrumental in tailoring rehabilitation strategies to a variety of patient situations, utilizing both therapeutic exercises and education to empower patients on their path to recovery.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT), with comprehensive training in orthopedic techniques and patient care standards.
• Valid State License in Physical Therapy, in compliance with New Jersey state regulations.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant practice setting, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic modalities.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association to ensure patient safety during treatment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for patient interactions and documentation.
• Proficiency in word processing and clinical documentation software to maintain accurate patient records and administrative tasks.
• Ability to build strong relationships with patients, focusing on their individual goals and overall well-being.
• A genuine desire to connect positively with patients, families, and the broader community to foster a supportive environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, enhancing collaborative treatment planning and execution.
