Empower-Self Physical Therapy is on the lookout for a committed full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our increasing family of dedicated healthcare professionals. Located in Morristown, New Jersey, Empower-Self Physical Therapy is a physical therapy practice owned by experienced professionals who prioritize patient-centered care. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is fully equipped for sports medicine services. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, supportive environment for our patients while predominantly serving individuals with private medical insurance. Our collaborative team consists of knowledgeable physical therapists and a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), all committed to providing high-quality treatment and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence within our well-appointed home care setting, allowing you to directly assess and treat patients in a comfortable environment tailored to their healing journey. Our physical therapy clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, offering a structured work schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and address patient goals and requirements.
• Manage and treat a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring high-quality care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Develop comprehensive care plans incorporating various treatment techniques and interventions, consistently promoting patient engagement.
• Design and implement customized fitness and wellness programs aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and overall coordination.
• Evaluate and document patient progress while maintaining effective communication with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practices to provide cost-effective treatments that enhance mobility and reduce reliance on medications.
• Motivate and inspire patients throughout their treatment journey, focusing on optimizing their physical capabilities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with each patient, assessing their conditions, developing tailored interventions, and modifying treatment plans to foster optimal recovery. Our focus on individualized attention ensures that every patient receives the support and encouragement needed to thrive.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid DC license as a Physical Therapist with a clean professional record free from board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and strong competency in developing and implementing exercise protocols are essential.
• Experience using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for streamlined documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

While relevant experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred, our welcoming team is ready to support new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in their practice. A willingness to adopt our patient-centered approach will serve you well in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a competitive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and continuing education reimbursement to support your professional development.
