Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups through standardized assessments and observation.
• Create individual treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication and cognitive requirements.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing improvement.
• Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
• Maintain precise and timely patient records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Stay ahead in your field by engaging in ongoing education opportunities and collaborative peer learning.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly desired.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
