We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations in Odessa, Texas. This position is ideal for someone who is confident managing financial records, verifying transaction accuracy, and keeping payables and receivables organized. The role also requires strong attention to detail, comfort with accounting software, and a customer-focused approach when handling financial inquiries.
Responsibilities:• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring invoices, payments, and records are processed accurately and on time.
• Reconcile inventory transactions by comparing vendor invoices with received goods and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate financial data in QuickBooks and support consistent recordkeeping across accounting functions.
• Perform routine bank and account reconciliations to confirm balances and identify any irregularities.
• Review financial documentation for completeness and accuracy before posting transactions to the appropriate accounts.
• Assist with customer billing questions and provide attentive support related to account status, payments, and documentation.• At least 7 years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping practices.
• Hands-on experience using QuickBooks in a business environment.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify invoices against inventory receipts.
• Comfortable learning and using accounting and business software tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
