Work Environment\n

As a remote-based counselor, you will work from your home office, utilizing the latest telehealth technology to interact with clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial interviews and thorough assessments of clients to establish a baseline understanding of their mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations, considering the unique situations of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques tailored to meet clients’ diverse needs.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey and make necessary adjustments to their intervention plans.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, which may include doctors, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create holistic intervention strategies for clients.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client cases from the initial consultation through treatment completion, utilizing electronic health records systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Assist in managing referrals to other specialists or services that may enhance the client's recovery journey.
\n
• Educate families and primary caregivers on effective strategies to manage behavioral challenges associated with clients’ conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients at Mindsight range from children to adults, each with varied backgrounds and emotional struggles, including anxiety, depression, stress management, and relationship issues. Our practice emphasizes a culturally competent approach, respecting and acknowledging the diverse experiences and identities of each individual we support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology with an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey empathy and understanding through virtual interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, is highly regarded.

• Prior experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a remote or telehealth environment, is preferred.

• Understanding of the interplay between physical health conditions, emotional wellness, and addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and contemporary theories in psychotherapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
