Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist in our facility, you will work onsite alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals who are committed to enhancing patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing muscular function according to the patient's care plan.
• Supervising and supporting physical therapy assistants to ensure the correct implementation of treatment protocols.
• Evaluating patients' functional capabilities through diagnostic testing and functional assessments.
• Conducting home environment assessments to provide tailored recommendations that promote patient independence.
• Administering manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, and physical agents as prescribed by physicians.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians as necessary.
• Documenting patient evaluations, progress notes, and care plans in the clinical record following established healthcare standards.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on the total treatment strategy for each patient.
• Providing education and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment protocols and physical therapy devices.
• Completing timely and comprehensive clinical orders and documentation following branch policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions impacting their mobility and quality of life. Your expertise will help guide patients through rehabilitation, ensuring they achieve optimal recovery and independence. Our approach emphasizes collaboration not only with patients but also with their families and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic, comprehensive care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current PT licensure in good standing in New Jersey.
• One (1) year of experience as a physical therapist, with a focus on acute care or home care settings preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective patient engagement and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience are preferred:

• Prior experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, including familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

Springleaf Healthcare & PT Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our robust benefits package includes:
