Work Environment

This position is full-time and requires the Physical Therapist to work onsite at our well-equipped facility located in Woodbridge, NJ. The workspace is designed to promote healing and rehabilitation, featuring the latest medical technology and therapeutic equipment within a functional environment. The practice operates from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured schedule for our therapists.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments to identify their specific needs, goals, and restrictions.
• Maintain a individualized patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring that each session is focused, effective, and supportive of their rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription.
• Utilize EMR software such as WebPT to document patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and progress reports accurately and efficiently.
• Focus on non-surgical therapy options and provide alternatives to medication, emphasizing lifestyle changes and rehabilitation exercises.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly, fostering consistent communication with patients regarding their progress.
• Encourage patients through motivational support and practical feedback to optimize their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate optimal care strategies.
• Facilitate wellness programs aimed at improving patients' overall strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Participate in continuous education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will primarily serve individuals with private medical insurance who seek rehabilitation for orthopedic issues, such as post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our patients vary in age and physical condition, offering a diverse array of therapeutic challenges and rewarding opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, without any board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the design of tailored exercise programs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, for documentation purposes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cost-effective therapy methods and their application in enhancing client mobility and quality of life.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 130,000 to 140,000, commensurate with experience.
