Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, utilizing clinical assessments to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based orthopedic physical therapy techniques focused on pain management, mobility enhancement, and functional independence.
• Guide and supervise physical therapist assistants and technicians, ensuring consistent quality of care and adherence to professional standards.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation practices, self-care techniques, and strategies to mitigate future injuries.
• Continuously document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary and reporting outcomes to the healthcare team.
• Foster a culture of patient safety, actively contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and older adults requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. Our therapists utilize age-appropriate techniques and strategies to address a variety of orthopedic conditions, from sports injuries to post-surgical recovery. A subset of our team may also provide specialized pediatric care, enhancing the rehabilitation experience for younger patients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution with a strong emphasis on orthopedic therapy is required.
• Active state licensure or certification in physical therapy is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating competence and achievement in similar roles.
• CPR certification is preferred, in accordance with our facility's policy.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
