Description

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients spanning from pediatric to geriatric populations by applying both standardized tests and observation-based strategies.
• Design tailored treatment approaches that target immediate goals while addressing longer-term cognitive, communication, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver focused, individualized speech therapy interventions that encompass language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and the families of patients to establish unified care plans.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure seamless care throughout each patient's journey.
• Ensure that documentation is precise and adheres to both state and federal standards.
• Continuously expand your knowledge by engaging in professional development and collaborative learning opportunities.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
