Aloha! We are excited to find a caring person to join our dental team at ‘Aiea Pearl City Dental Care. We are a general dentistry office on the Aiea/Pearl City border providing dental care for families for over 45 years. We would like your help to inspire togetherness by providing a caring dental experience for patients and team members. We are hoping to find a front office team member who is passionate about serving others. Primary Job duties will include insurance verification and eligibility, phone calls, scheduling, treatment estimates, patient check-in and check-out, payments & billing. Job duties may include opening or closing the office, general cleaning, sterilization and dental room turnover and prep, updating patient records, management of patient referrals to dental specialists, management of dental lab cases, insurance claims processes. Knowledge of dental insurance, dental coding, and familiarity with ledgers and billing will be required but can be learned if willing.

During work, our priorities are 1) the safety and health of oneself, teammates and patients, 2) working together as a team, and 3) creating connections with each other and our patients. Family, progress and continual “plussing” as Disney calls it, food, and laughter are also important to us.

A usual day looks like this: 3 dentists and 5 hygienists in 10 chairs per day Monday through Saturday - a lot of moving pieces and little room for errors/delays. Last minute emergencies and cancellations can make parts of the day very hectic. Sometimes there may be an emergency patient squeezed in on the schedule, a patient waiting for you while you're on the phone with another patient, and a team member asking you an insurance question. While this doesn’t happen all the time, we are in need of someone who can tackle this tempo with calm and confidence.

Tuesdays and Thursdays we are open 8am-7pm, MWF 8am-5pm, Saturdays 8-1pm. Work days and times are negotiable and flexible including full or part time. 401k and bonus programs are open to full or part time. Holidays, PTO, life and disability insurance, and medical are available to full time.

Compensation is based on experience, but no experience is necessary. We are looking for someone reliable with an interest to learn and grow, with a passion to help and serve others, and who is able to use and their imagination to deliver care.

Someone who can adapt with change, who provides help to others before being asked, who is dedicated to their team members through dependable attendance, and in tune with empathy will be a wonderful fit.
