Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Better Life Counseling Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to gather comprehensive information about students' mental health needs, using structured interviews, standardized assessment tools, and behavioral observations.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that address the unique challenges faced by each student, employing tailored interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques.

• Implementing a range of therapeutic interventions in individual and group settings, ensuring students feel supported and understood throughout the therapeutic process.

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring timely updates to treatment plans and progress notes.

• Collaborating closely with educators, school psychologists, and other stakeholders to provide holistic care and support tailored to each student’s educational and emotional needs.

• Participating in case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance service quality, share insights, and learn from fellow clinicians.

• Providing education to students and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources to promote engagement in care.

• Staying abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in mental health care to continually integrate innovative approaches into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving children and adolescents within the school environment. You will work with diverse student populations, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Your targeted interventions will empower students to improve their emotional regulation, social skills, and academic performance while promoting resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, particularly in providing psychotherapy and mental health support within educational or community settings.
