OPERATIONS COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Department: OPERATIONS

Reports to: OPERATIONS MANAGER

Location: DOWNERS GROVE, IL

Job Summary: This position ensures smooth day-to-day business operations by managing logistics, coordinating teams, and providing administrative support. This individual will closely monitor logistics and data in defining requirements/solutions for the operation and ensuring that performance commitments are met. Special projects may be assigned as well as other tasks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Updating and organizing operational data via data entry in external systems and shared drives.
• Work with managers on day-to-day coordination of projects and job workflows.
• Collect and consolidate information from multiple team members to drive tasks to completion.
• Collaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to work independently on open action items and drive to completion.
• Division Specific Special Tasks may be assigned as needed.

Market Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for submitting utility dig tickets to 811; entry, updates, tracking & maintenance for the life of open projects.
• Responsible for entry, tracking & maintenance for the life of open projects.
• Gathering close-out package information and consolidating via data entry may be required as needed.
• Providing market support to project management team may be required as needed.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience submitting utility tickets/lane closure and traffic system updates.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as well as having a strong work ethic.
• Excellent organizations and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Analytical skills be detailed oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks.
• Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, especially MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. NetSuite experience a plus.

Education and Experience:

• 1-3 years of previous experience in telecommunications is preferred.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Associate degree or Equivalent Work Experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
