Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including a review of pertinent medical history, physical assessments, and the formulation of treatment plans based on diagnostic findings.
• Effectively communicate evaluation results and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in setting realistic and achievable goals tailored to their recovery journey.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols while continuously assessing patient responses and modifying care plans as needed, ensuring optimal results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare providers to coordinate patient care, recognizing any changes in patient's conditions that may necessitate adjustments in treatment or additional consultations.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care effectively, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress in accordance with evolving healthcare regulations.
• Ensure adherence to departmental goals and compliance with accreditation standards, contributing to the overall mission of providing exemplary patient care.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and community outreach activities to enhance patient engagement and access to our services.
• Mentor and guide physical therapy students, promoting continued education and professional development for yourself and others.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients requiring varying levels of rehabilitation and therapy services. Our patient population includes individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, and those impacted by injury or disability, all of whom rely on our comprehensive, patient-centered care approach to improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers is necessary.
• Commitment to continual professional development and learning.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant experience as a licensed Physical Therapist is preferred, along with demonstrated skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, and interprofessional collaboration.
