Tax Accountant

Fit is assisting an establish company in downtown Mobile in their search for a Tax Accountant. In this role, you will focus on preparing a wide variety of tax returns while serving as a trusted resource for other departments. This position offers a clear path for career advancement, making it ideal for someone who is dedicated and driven to succeed in the field. Salary range is in the $70-$90K range, DOE plus benefits. Responsibilities: Calculate income tax adjustments and compile information from multiple sources Prepare quarterly Federal and State estimated income tax payments File Property, Sales & Use, Excise and Forest Products Tax Returns Perform research in multiple areas of taxation and communicate findings Draft responses to State and Local notices and assist in Audit Defense Analyze and reconcile general ledger tax accounts Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor of Accounting Degree required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail CPA or MST preferred Experience with OneSource tax preparation software #J-18808-Ljbffr
