Float Pool – Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Float between up to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital, including ED border patients, acute mental health (medication nurse role), and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Manage and administer cardiac drips in accordance with unit protocols
• Provide care for a patient population across units ranging from 8 to 41 beds, with night shift ratios of up to 6:1
• Perform TR Band experience procedures as required by unit assignment
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License required
• AHA BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Travel Nurse
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including strip interpretation and interval measurement
• Willingness and ability to float to 8 different units as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of dedicated telemetry experience, including reading tele strips and managing cardiac drips
• TR Band experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Experience caring for ED border patients and non-vented ICU patients
