Reconciliation Accountant

California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division is seeking an Accounting Officer to provide professional accounting duties to support the Reconciliations Unit.

The Accounting Officer's duties include but are not limited to:

• Analyzes accounting data and transactions, identifies, researches, and analyzes errors and discrepancies and takes appropriate action to rectify reconciling items in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepares and posts journals entries to record the monthly accounting activity and any adjustments and/or corrections to general ledger.
• Creates and maintains supplier records in PeopleSoft Financials for all program areas.
• Processes and/or approves investment related expenses using PeopleSoft and the State Street Bank Cash Manager wire system.

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). • Experience performing account reconciliations
• Experience gathering accounting data and developing reports and recommendations
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and PeopleSoft Financials software knowledge and experience
