Special Projects Manager

Special Projects Manager – West Palm Beach, Florida Amentum is seeking a Special Projects Manager to support AUTEC as part of a close‑knit team. The role includes overseeing training initiatives and managing an administrative assistant while operating in a matrixed structure, coordinating and reporting to multiple managers. Key Responsibilities Personnel Security: perform all facets of the Personnel Security Program, providing guidance and processing for Secret clearances and eligibility—including pre‑screening background investigative support for Tier1 through Tier5 investigations, conducting security briefings, obtaining NDAs, and managing other personnel security actions. Provide comprehensive program security support for program managers, offering classification guidance, managing visit certifications, facilitating foreign travel reporting, and assisting with proposal development. OCONUS Deployment: assist new employees with OCONUS travel, book domestic and international itineraries, perform travel expense reconciliations, understand deployment requirements, and support transitions to/from OCONUS locations. Serve as point‑of‑contact for travel arrangements/expense reports for mass evacuations due to hurricane or other events. Operations Support: assist with formatting, tracking, logging, and controlling all SOPs/SPs produced under the contract and provide other related program support as assigned. Required Qualifications Current or ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or field OR 10years related experience. Knowledge of federal personnel security principles, concepts, and methodologies. Knowledge of federal travel regulations and agency travel systems. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Visio. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DoD personnel security functions, CAC issuance, DD254s, and related matters. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, organizational, and time‑management skills. Compensation Base salary: $70,000 (actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws).
