Legal Admin – Bankruptcy

The  Bankruptcy Administrator  will sort and prepare bankruptcy packets, file claims, and communicate with debtors and other interested parties effectively and professionally.

Schedule: 8:00am to 5:00pm CST, Monday through Friday

Salary: 20.00/hour

Location: must be local to Chicago area, as this role will report in to our Downtown Chicago office about once per week. Otherwise will be work from home.

DAY TO DAY

• Correctly sort bankruptcies and create work packets
• Effectively handle phone calls from debtors and attorneys regarding bankruptcies with the highest level of customer service
• Accurately process bankruptcies and file proof of claims in a timely manner
• Prepare and fax letters and other documents to all interested parties
• Accurately notate accounts when working in various client systems

WHAT YOU MUST POSSESS

Must Have Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Ability to type quickly (40 wpm) and accurately, with exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrated history of effective time management and ability to prioritize projects with changing deadlines
• Microsoft Office Suite experience

Nice to Have Skills

• Some college education or paralegal certification
• Experience with Canvas, Pacer, and Columbia Ultimate Collections Software (CUBS)
