Work Environment

This full-time position will be conducted onsite within our hospital facility, a setting that is both dynamic and focused on teamwork. The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet patient needs as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct physical therapy treatments as prescribed by the supervising physical therapist, adhering to established care plans.
• Implement interventions to alleviate patient pain, restore mobility, and promote independence, employing a range of therapeutic techniques.
• Guide patients through active and passive exercises, functional training, and assistance with mobility aids, ensuring proper technique to maximize benefits.
• Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, and ultrasound as part of treatment protocols to enhance patient recovery.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patient responses to therapy and maintain clear communication with therapists and other staff regarding any changes in status.
• Educate patients on the proper use of mobility devices and orthotics to support their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment sessions, including clinical and conference notes for continuous quality improvement.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational programs and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the operations and goals of the therapy department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve in this role come from a broad demographic, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and other rehabilitative needs. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited physical therapist assistant program, holding an Associate's degree in science or applied science recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Possession of a current state license or certification as required.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle is essential for attending to patient needs.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
