Accounts Payable
LHH Recruitment is working with a growing organization located near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport who is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys working collaboratively. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday. Hourly pay is between $23/hr-$26/hr.
The ideal candidate has experience processing a high volume of invoices, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and can prioritize deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Process 100+ invoices daily with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents as applicable.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies by communicating with vendors and internal departments.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with month-end close activities and AP reporting.
- Support journal entry preparation and creation as needed (experience preferred).
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Accounts Payable experience.
- Must have experience processing at least 100 invoices per day in a high-volume environment.
- Experience with ERP accounting systems preferred.
- Journal entry creation experience is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
