St Paul Behavioral Health Center is looking for a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team. In this full-time role, you will work primarily in a remote capacity while contributing to outpatient services aimed at supporting individuals grappling with trauma-related issues. Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote work environment, allowing you to perform your duties from the comfort of your home while remaining connected to a supportive and collaborative team. Our outpatient services operate Monday through Friday, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate patient needs, ensuring that our clients receive timely and appropriate care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds, trauma histories, and therapeutic needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and holistic patient well-being.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster healing.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care for our patients.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients have immediate access to care.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to aid in recovery.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation compliant with state legal and ethical requirements.
\n
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities, all focused on improving trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have been impacted by trauma, including those suffering from PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. Your expertise and compassionate approach will be essential in helping these individuals navigate their complex emotions, develop resilience, and achieve sustainable healing. The goal is to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship that empowers clients on their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an innate ability to connect with patients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience, ideally in a trauma-focused therapeutic setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to document patient care and track progress.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
\n
• Prior experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team is highly desirable.
