Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for students facing challenges related to ASD, ADHD, trauma, and other emotional disorders.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to address students' individual needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that support emotional regulation, personal growth, and effective coping strategies.

• Engage in crisis intervention, providing immediate support and guidance for students experiencing mental health emergencies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with educators, occupational therapists, and other specialists to integrate mental health care with educational services effectively.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment considerations, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, providing case updates and insights while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on students within the special education program, including those facing a variety of challenges like autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and sensitivities due to trauma. Your contributions will directly impact their emotional well-being and educational success, helping them navigate their unique challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.

• Proficiency in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and the development of treatment plans.

• Experience delivering individual and group therapy using a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mental health disorders among youth, particularly within special education settings, are highly preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and effective crisis intervention techniques will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
