Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct clinical services to students experiencing severe emotional and mental health challenges, working both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Engage effectively with clients by building trust and rapport, thereby fostering a safe environment for discussion about mental health struggles.

• Assess client needs through evidence-based screening tools and determine further assessment needs and care pathways.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring access to appropriate services and coordinating care among schools, families, and external providers.

• Facilitate therapy sessions, maintaining a varied caseload that includes one-on-one, group, and family therapy as needed, focusing on clients' strengths and challenges.

• Assist with crisis intervention as needed, ensuring that students receive timely support in critical situations.

• Document all client interactions and treatment plans accurately and promptly, contributing to evaluations of client progress and program effectiveness.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, performance evaluations, and team meetings to enhance service delivery and promote quality improvements within the agency.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily focus on serving children and adolescents within the school system who are dealing with various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns. This role emphasizes understanding the unique dynamics present in a school environment and working collaboratively with school staff and families to enhance the mental health and academic success of students.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a valid and unrestricted license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.

• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in a school or community mental health setting.

• Strong understanding of developmental psychology and familiarity with therapeutic techniques suited for children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
