Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while engaging with clients in a supportive online setting. You will be working within a multidisciplinary team and have access to telehealth technologies that facilitate seamless communication with clients and other healthcare professionals. While our primary focus is on school-based programs, you will maintain regular interactions to ensure a cohesive treatment experience for all clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized therapy sessions to adult clients who are attending our outpatient pain clinic, tailoring therapeutic interventions to each client's unique circumstances.

• Conduct weekly psychoeducational classes to educate patients on coping mechanisms, chronic pain management strategies, and stress reduction techniques.

• Create and evaluate treatment plans for clients participating in the Functional Restoration Program (FRP), ensuring regular assessments of clinical progress.
\n
• Implement best practices derived from pain psychology research to inform clinical care, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness interventions.

• Document client interactions and treatment progress meticulously in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

• Facilitate referrals to other therapeutic modalities or specialists within our clinic, when appropriate, to enhance the breadth of care provided to patients.

• Maintain adherence to all ethical and legal standards in social work, ensuring the highest quality of care for every client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client caseload will predominantly consist of individuals who have experienced work-related injuries, leading to psychological challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma in conjunction with physical pain. You will employ an integrated therapeutic approach to effectively address the complexities presented by chronic pain and trauma, providing your clients with the tools they need to regain control over their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, providing the foundational knowledge required for effective practice.

• Active California License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW), demonstrating your qualifications to provide clinical mental health services.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally in settings involving pain management and trauma intervention.
