Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with interventional cardiac cath lab experience for a Level I trauma Magnet hospital requiring an active IL license

Job Details

• Work in a 5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25,
• Day shift schedule (4x12 or 3x12 hours, 0630-1900),
• Will work 2-3 weekends per contract,
• On-call required as needed,
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities,
• Cerner EMR used, experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license in hand required at time of application,
• Minimum 1 year of experience required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted, RQI cards not accepted),
• Interventional cardiac cath lab experience required,
• Experience with Circulate Procedures, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Left Heart Catheterization, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring, and Right Heart Catheterization required,
• Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring required,
• Skilled in Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias and Monitoring Procedural Sedation,
• Cerner charting experience required,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,

• Acute Care Hospital with Level I trauma designation and Magnet recognition, 562 staffed beds,
• Scrubs provided,
• Parking permit required at no cost, completed during orientation,
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays,
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days,
• Local candidates accepted,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler,
• Travel pairs are not accepted
