We are a growing, dynamic business with meaningful opportunities to innovate, scale, and continuously improve how we support our teams and our guests.The Accounts Payable Specialist works with our accounting group to produce accurate and timely financial statements for internal and external use, assisting the Accounts Payable Lead with the day-to-day functions of our financial activities. This role works closely with the accounting and operations teams to maintain accurate financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and interacts with corporate and site-level associates and managers to communicate financial information. There will also be plenty of opportunities to work on special projects within the accounting department.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure invoice payments are processed and paid within agreed-upon terms, following up with vendors or internal stakeholders when additional information is needed, including for intercompany invoicesWork closely with other teams within AP and internal groups to ensure compliance with financial policiesAid in troubleshooting invoices pending in queueInvestigate vendor statements and collection letters, and contact vendors when necessary to resolve discrepanciesCommunicate with vendors and respond to inquiriesMaintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelinesMonitor invoices in queue and exceptions to identify performance and/or system issuesPerform other related duties and project assignments as requiredCore competencies for success include:Invoice processing & paymentVendor communication & resolutionCompliance & process integrityCross-functional partnershipAccuracy & problem solvingQualifications include:Proven understanding of basic accounting principles with prior work experience in Accounts PayableFamiliarity working in a high-volume and inventory-intensive environmentDemonstrated spreadsheet, word processing, and data entry PC proficiencyStrong mathematical aptitude with experience and proficiency working with numbersStrong detail orientation with a high degree of accuracy in workAbility to multi-task and to function effectively and positively within a team environmentDemonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise mannerBenefits include: Free Play & 1/2 price food!
