This is one of the busiest and most respected emergency departments in the area. With Level III trauma designation, high acuity, specialty support, and a location in the suburbs of Charlotte, North Carolina, this site consistently attracts top EM physicians.\n

Emergency Department Snapshot \n

• 52-bed ED within a 288-bed hospital
\n
• Level III Trauma Center 
\n
• Approximately 42,500 annual visits
\n
• 40-50 hours/day physician coverage (overlapping schedules)
\n
• 24 hours/day APC coverage
\n
• 1.8 to 2.0 patients per hour
\n
• Integrated patient care: TeamHealth provides care across  EM, hospital medicine, and intensivist service lines
\n
• 24/7 OB/Gyn and L&D in-house, Level III NICU; STEMI 24/7; interventional neurology, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, orthopedics, interventional cardiology, interventional stroke, surgical specialties, and more
\n
• One affiliated full-service community hospital: Fort Mill Medical Center 
\n
• Two affiliated FSEDs: Gold Hill Emergency Center and Indian Land Emergency Center
