Staff Accountant

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant . This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in the month-end close process , financial accuracy, and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, with experience in nonprofit environments considered a plus. Key Responsibilities Support the month-end and year-end close process Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy Process accounts payable , including invoice coding and approvals Manage vendor relationships and maintain accurate vendor records Assist with expense coding and classification Provide support during internal and external audits Help ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial reporting Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience with QuickBooks a plus Nonprofit accounting experience (preferred) Experience with Anybill (a plus) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Strong communication and problem-solving abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr
