Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Performance Center Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming experience for guests, staff, and performers. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.58 - $24.58 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PMTue03:00 PM - 11:00 PMWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, patrons, artists, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a performing arts venue. Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout public spaces, backstage areas, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify credentials as directed; and assist with visitor screening, wayfinding, and crowd-flow support during performances and special events. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel. Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision. Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
