Inventory Control Clerk

Pay: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to support warehouse operations and maintain accurate inventory records. This position is responsible for monitoring inventory activity, performing cycle counts, researching discrepancies, and ensuring physical inventory matches system records.

The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse or inventory control experience, strong attention to detail, and experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP system, or inventory software such as SAP or Cadence .

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records within WMS, ERP, or inventory management systems.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts.
Conduct physical inventory audits and reconcile results with system records.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and incorrect transactions.
Monitor inventory activity including receiving, shipping, transfers, and adjustments.
Work closely with receiving, shipping, and warehouse teams to verify inventory movement.
Research and correct inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
Generate and maintain inventory reports for management review.
Verify proper labeling, storage, location, and organization of warehouse inventory.
Assist with identifying damaged, obsolete, misplaced, or slow-moving inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory documentation and supporting records.
Assist with inventory process improvements and accuracy initiatives.
Follow warehouse procedures, safety requirements, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Previous warehouse, inventory control, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
Understanding of inventory control and warehouse processes.
Experience working with WMS, ERP, or inventory management software .
Experience with SAP and/or Cadence is highly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel .
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify potential causes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with warehouse teams.

Preferred Skills

Previous cycle counting or inventory auditing experience.
Experience using barcode scanners and RF devices.
Forklift certification or previous forklift experience.
Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
