General Ledger Accountant

System One is assisting a Tulsa company with a search for a General Ledger Accountant. The successful candidate will work with others who excel in their areas of expertise and contribute to a collaborative accounting team focused on accuracy, continuous improvement, and timely close. This is a direct hire opportunity with an onsite schedule in the Tulsa-area office. Competitive benefits are offered, along with long-term growth potential.






Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations
• Maintain and review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and proper documentation
• Research discrepancies and resolve routine accounting issues in partnership with internal teams
• Assist with preparing standard financial reports and schedules for internal use
• Provide support for audits and respond to ad hoc reporting/data requests as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting processes
• Strong Excel skills and general proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively across departments

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000
