Operations Manager / General Manager

Greensboro, NC

$85,000–$100,000 annually (DOE)

Monday–Friday | 8 AM–5 PM | Onsite

Occasional weekends based on business needs

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager / General Manager to lead daily operations for an established trucking and transportation company in Greensboro, NC.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who understands the trucking industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to balance operational efficiency, safety, customer service, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily trucking operations, including dispatch, fleet maintenance, driver management, and DOT compliance.
Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Manage equipment needs, including purchasing trucks, trailers, and operational systems.
Negotiate rates and contracts with customers, brokers, and vendors.
Support driver recruiting, scheduling, and load coverage.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control costs, and drive profitability.
Provide leadership and support to operational and administrative teams.

What We're Looking For:

3+ years of management experience in trucking operations required.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations, fleet operations, dispatch, and transportation logistics.
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
Flexibility to support operational needs outside standard business hours when necessary.
