What's the Role?

We're hiring our first Solutions Engineer to sit at the center of Bilt's Alliance and Enterprise Sales team. You'll be the technical counterpart to our Account Executives for large national property management companies — the person in the room who can answer any integration question, no matter which property management system or third-party platform is on the other side of the table. This is a build-the-function role. You'll own the technical story pre-sale and then stay with the partner through implementation: gathering API details, configuring integrations, and getting them fully launched and live. Roughly half your time is pre-sales — discovery, demos, solution design — and half is hands-on onboarding, much of it on-site with partners. If you like being the person who both wins the deal and makes it actually work, this is that job. We are currently only seeking candidates who live in either Atlanta, Washington D.C., Chicago, Phoenix, Seattle, Boston and/or Detroit and are willing and able to travel to partners 100% of the time.

In This Role You Will...

• Serve as the primary technical partner to Account Executives across enterprise deals with large national property management companies
• Lead technical discovery with prospects, mapping their property management system, ERP, and third-party integrations to Bilt's product and API surface
• Deliver tailored demos and solution designs that translate Bilt's platform into concrete outcomes for each partner's operating model
• Own post-sale implementation end to end — gathering API credentials and specs, configuring SFTP and API integrations, and driving partners to a live, launched state
• Build the Solutions Engineering function from the ground up: playbooks, technical assets, integration documentation, and a reusable knowledge base
• Answer deep, detailed integration questions from partner technical teams with credibility and speed
• Partner with Product and Engineering to advocate for integration work and product changes that unblock enterprise partners
• Travel to partner sites to hand-hold onboarding, run working sessions, and build trust with operators and their IT teams
• Complete RFPs, security reviews, and technical evaluations required to move enterprise deals forward

In Terms Of Qualifications We're Seeking:

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Solutions Architecture, ideally in a technical B2B SaaS environment
• Extensive hands-on experience with API integrations, SFTP configurations, and building tailored technical solutions for complex customer requirements
• A track record of owning implementation and onboarding — not just handing off after the deal closes
• Ability to hold your own in detailed technical conversations with partner engineering and IT teams across unfamiliar third-party systems
• Strong commercial instincts — you can sell, not just support the sale
• Comfort making partners feel confident and taken care of through a complex technical rollout
• Willingness to travel up to 100%
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice To Have:

• Deep knowledge of property management systems (Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, MRI)
• Experience in proptech, fintech, or payments
• Familiarity with SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java)
• Experience with data integration platforms and ETL processes
• Experience standing up a Solutions Engineering function or process from scratch

The salary range for a Solutions Engineer is $180,000-280,000 (location and experience dependent) and will be eligible for equity.
