Accounts Payable Specialist

Account Payable SpecialistAs part of the Finance team, the Accounts Payable Clerk will perform all aspects of the accounts payable function of the company by taking complete ownership of all invoices in a paperless environment, performing daily entries of invoices in the accounting software and completing reconciliations of accounts payable related general ledger accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as company established practices and procedures.Essential Functions:Responsible for processing all invoices using paperless system with proper approvalsProperly code payable transactions to the correct general ledger accountEnsure three-way match control is consistently adhered to by matching purchase orders to invoices and entering the invoices into the accounting software according to the department policies and deadlinesBe the main point person for the AP automation softwareIdentify errors or discrepancies in invoices and resolve before processingProvide support to the accounting team by providing payable information needed as part of the month end close processComplete weekly and month-end reconciliations of accounts payable related general ledger accountsReview and reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor inquiriesAssist with annual financial and tax auditsAssist in year-end 1099 processMay be required to assist with scanning and filingMinimum Requirements:Specific Job Skills:Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Ramp, NetSuite is preferredAttention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to organize and multi-task job responsibilities effectivelyProven commitment to providing excellent customer service within all dimensions of the job duties on a consistent basisAbility to learn quickly and retain knowledge to apply to new situationsUp to 10% travel may be requiredEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience: Two to four years of accounting/finance experienceSupervision: N/ACertifications: N/ALanguage Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
