Accounts Payable Specialist

Pay range: $24-26/HR, depending on experience Job Type: Permanent Our client, a well-established and growing organization in the Nashville area, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing the full accounts payable process while collaborating across departments. Key Responsibilities Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents Review and verify invoice coding and approvals Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate documentation Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports Ensure compliance with company policies and established accounting procedures Qualifications 2+ years of accounts payable experience Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles Experience working in an ERP system (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Benefit offerings include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and 401K plan.
