Advanced Milling Machinist

HiFyve is hiring an Advanced Milling Machinist in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry in Meriden, CT!

Salary: $30+/hour DOE + 15% Shift Differential

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM | Overtime Available

Location: Meriden, CT

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Perform complete setup and operation of CNC milling machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.
Utilize manual machining equipment, including manual mills and lathes, to support production, tooling modifications, prototype work, and special machining projects.
Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, workholding devices, and machine offsets.
Manufacture complex components from aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, Inconel, and other specialty alloys while maintaining tight tolerances.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixture, and program-related issues.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary offset and tooling adjustments.
Maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards and aerospace manufacturing requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum 5+ years of CNC milling setup and machining experience.
Previous manual machining experience, including operation of manual mills and lathes, required.
Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
Proven ability to hold tolerances of ±0.0005" or tighter.
Proficiency with precision inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges.
Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar CNC controls.
