Qualifications:

• Current, active Michigan Special Education Teaching license (MI); please be prepared to provide a screenshot for verification
• Experience in high school special education settings, particularly serving students with cognitive impairments, is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, differentiation strategies, and state education standards
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom climate

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to high school students in a dedicated cognitive impairment classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support student progress
• Utilize adaptive and assistive technologies to facilitate learning
• Monitor and document student growth, maintaining ongoing communication with stakeholders
