Staff Accountant

LHH is partnering on a Staff Accountant opening with a long-standing, well-established company in Fort Worth. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants real exposure to project-based accounting and a clear path to grow into a Senior role. This team is lean and collaborative, reporting into an Accounting Manager, and they’re looking for someone who wants to be hands-on, learn quickly, and take on increasing responsibility over time. What you’ll be doing: Supporting the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accuracy of financial data Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations Assisting with AP/AR functions initially (covering while a team member is on leave), then transitioning into a more traditional accounting role Working with job cost data and supporting project-based accounting efforts Assisting with Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and learning Percentage of Completion concepts (training provided) Reviewing project expenses and helping track financial performance across jobs Supporting documentation, reporting, and process improvements as needed What they’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance ~1+ year of accounting or related experience Strong Excel skills and comfort working in accounting/ERP systems Solid understanding of debits/credits and reconciliations Someone detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities Confident, outgoing personality—this is a team that values communication and collaboration Experience with Microsoft Business Central or construction accounting is a big plus, but not required Why this role stands out: Clear growth path Opportunity to get exposure to project/accounting concepts like WIP and job costing Stable, established company with a strong reputation and long tenure Relaxed, team-oriented environment with good work-life balance Hands-on learning environment with direct access to leadership If you’re looking to build a strong accounting foundation and be part of a team where you can grow quickly, this is a solid opportunity to explore. #J-18808-Ljbffr
