Key Responsibilities

As an Internal Medicine NP/PA, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments through detailed interviews and thorough physical examinations.
• Obtaining and continually updating detailed medical histories to inform treatment plans.
• Collaborating with supervising physicians to develop and implement patient management strategies for short- and long-term health issues.
• Ensuring continuity of care by following up on patient progress and modifying care plans as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Educating patients about their health, wellness strategies, and management of chronic conditions.
• Participating in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and share insights.
• Utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and management of patient data efficiently.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting is strongly preferred.
• Active certification through the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination or similar credential.
• Current active NP/PA license in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits
