About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 1 year of experience with intermediate care and cardiac and vascular patient populations Description: The department includes a unit with 18 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4, and 1:3 for post-surgical patients in the first 24 hours. Common diagnoses include patients transitioning from a higher level of cardiac care. The unit heavily supports various cardiac procedures and conditions. Common medications include titratable drips for blood pressure management. Registered Nurses are required to titrate drips. A charge nurse is present on each shift, and it is rare for the charge nurse to take an assignment. Patient care techs are available on the unit with a ratio of 1:18. Hospitalist and intensivist coverage is in house 24/7. Respiratory therapy is also available 24/7 in the unit. Registered Nurses are required to read and interpret telemetry strips. Shifts are scheduled by management with no block or self-scheduling. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Floating to same level and lower acuity levels is expected. Scrub color is navy blue. Unit-specific orientation will be tailored to needs and experience. Additional requests for time off will not be approved after submission. The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. Charting is performed using an electronic health record system. About Cynet Health
