Production Team Lead

A well-established manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. Primary Responsibilities Direct and support the day-to-day activities of a manufacturing team to ensure production schedules are achieved. Coach, mentor, and develop employees while promoting teamwork and accountability. Monitor key production metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions when needed. Champion continuous improvement initiatives by reducing waste, improving workflow, and enhancing productivity. Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Shipping, and Materials teams to resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively. Lead daily production meetings, communicate priorities, and ensure expectations are clearly understood across all shifts. Promote a safe workplace by reinforcing company policies, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with established procedures. Participate in investigations involving quality concerns, equipment downtime, or process inefficiencies, and help develop long-term solutions. Support employee training, cross-training, and ongoing development to strengthen overall team performance. Encourage a positive, respectful workplace built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Desired Qualifications Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, 5S, standard work, and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Comfortable working with production software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interpret production documentation, work instructions, and safety requirements.
