Please refer to the Blain's Farm & Fleet position description for accurate pay range information.The Corporate Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the general ledger and accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient transaction processing, and adherence to internal controls. This role leads the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting, providing insights to support company decision-making. The Corporate Accounting Manager also develops and maintains accounting policies, supports audits, budgeting, and forecasting, and collaborates with other departments to optimize financial practices. This role requires a strong attention to detail, leadership skills to mentor a small team, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.Essential (Primary) Functions:Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, journal entry review, account balance reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedulesSupport the organization's financial management and/or control processesContribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts; partnering with stakeholders to accurately forecast resources to deliver performance targetsCommunicate and collaborate with key business leaders and play an active role in the monthly actuals vs. budget review meetings to ensure financial information is accurate and timelyCo-lead external audits, maintain compliance with accounting standardsAnalyze financial data to provide insights into business performance and recommend areas of improvementEnsuring the accuracy and consistency of data for inventory, fixed assets, and the general ledgerSupporting the preparation and timely delivery of financial reportsIdentify process improvement opportunities and lead process improvement efforts to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of month end closeServe as an agent of change for system improvements and technology automation.
