Reel Fathers Rights, a rapidly growing family law practice in Southern California, is seeking a legal secretary to join our team. As a legal secretary at Reel Fathers Rights, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and legal tasks, including :

• Administrative tasks: You will be responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining the office calendar, managing email correspondence, filing legal documents, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Client communication: You will be the first point of contact for clients and will be responsible for communicating with them on behalf of the attorneys. You will need to be able to answer basic legal questions and direct them to the appropriate attorney when necessary.
• Drafting legal documents: You may be required to draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, under the guidance of the attorneys.
• Research: You will need to research case law and legal precedents as requested by the attorneys.
• Billing: You may be responsible for billing clients and maintaining financial records for the firm.
• Case management: You will be responsible for maintaining case files, including tracking important deadlines and ensuring that all necessary documents are filed with the court in a timely manner.
• Courtroom support: You may be required to accompany attorneys to court hearings and provide administrative support as needed.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is also necessary, and experience with family law is a plus. Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office and legal case management software, is required.  Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) required.
