Work Environment\n

This role will be conducted entirely remotely, maximizing your flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients through virtual therapy sessions, ensuring a consistent barrier-free therapeutic environment. We prioritize work-life balance, and your schedule will primarily consist of Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility as determined by patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate each patient’s history and treatment needs.

• Design individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, incorporating therapeutic methodologies tailored to each patient's specific challenges.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process traumatic experiences and build effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, employing clinical expertise to stabilize clients.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and various community resources available to them.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in trauma therapy and best practices to continually enhance care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus lies in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, domestic violence, and other critical incidents. Clients may present with a range of diagnoses, including PTSD, anxiety disorders, and depression, necessitating tailored and comprehensive treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R (LCSW-R) in New York State.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health services, particularly in trauma-focused modalities.
\n
• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment strategies, and resilience-building practices.

• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a non-judgmental and compassionate environment for clients.

• Ability to maintain composure during high-stress or crisis situations, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

• Currently proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications necessary for telehealth delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
