Associate Attorney - Commercial Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with strong commercial litigation experience to join its Litigation practice group in Hackensack, NJ. This role offers an opportunity to engage in a sophisticated litigation practice and expand one's expertise in various legal areas. Responsibilities Apply litigation expertise to complex disputes, including business matters, employment disputes, and probate litigation. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs in both litigation and advisory contexts. Participate in client meetings, hearings, and court appearances as needed. Stay current on developments in applicable law while expanding knowledge through firm‑provided training. Requirements Juris Doctor degree required with excellent academic credentials. Admitted and in good standing in New Jersey. Minimum of 2 years of commercial litigation experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Strong professional judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external clients. Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and multi‑task effectively.
