Assistant Project Manager

Ferraro Construction Group is a growing construction management company that specializes in design build construction. We are actively involved in land development, commercial & mixed-use building as well as residential buildings. We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager to work with our team and assist in the management and coordination of construction related items for all our projects. Candidates must have experience in construction. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, team working skills, field experience, computer skills and the ability to relentlessly pursue project related items until they are completed. Duties and Responsibilities: Meet with contractors and vendors to discuss schedules and coordination Maintain and manage the project schedule Review project drawings and project scopes. Provide comments when needed Review, distribute and process shop drawings Order, and take off materials Attend job site coordination meetings with vendors and management staff Create, distribute, and follow through to make sure punch lists are completed Acquire estimates from vendors Coordinate and communicate with local municipalities in a supportive role Coordinate and communicate with utility companies as well as attend site meetings Coordinate with administrative company representatives Expand vendor portfolio and make new relationships including vetting and ensuring vendors fit the companies needs Assist in building turnovers to clients Problem solves medium level construction issues on site Offer insight and perspective to new processes Communicate all construction and scheduling issues to upper management Control and manage the Procore software for all projects including but not limited to RFI's, submittals, drawing logs, schedules, etc. Required Skills: 10 years' experience in the construction 5 years' experience in commercial and mixed-use ground up construction Proficient in email and communication skills Experience with smartphones, laptops, and tablets Ability to work in an imperfect work environment and adapt to changing conditions Experience with Procore. Training available for the right candidate Experience with Microsoft based programs such as Excel, Word, and Project The ability to create and manage completion lists Applicants must send resumes with the past 10 years of work history and 3 references.
