Billing Associate

To support the Department of Psychiatry, the full-time remote Billing/Scheduling Associate I will obtain insurance information, complete referral forms, and counsel patients on financial assistance while scheduling and coordinating patient appointments without direct patient contact. Key responsibilities Obtain demographic and insurance information from patients Communicate with physicians and clinical staff to assist with scheduling urgent or referred patient requests Perform daily edits and changes to provider scheduling templates and manage in-basket messages in Epic Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent certification No specific work experience is required Experience in a medical office setting is preferred Familiarity with billing systems and third-party claims is a plus Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient communications is beneficial
