Patent Prosecution Associate (Electrical Engineering or Computer Science) Level: Junior to Mid-Level Experience: 1–4 years of patent prosecution experience in private practice, ideally with an EE or CS technical focus Location: Boston, MA Compensation: $150,000–$310,000 The Opportunity A Boston-based IP boutique is seeking a junior to mid-level Patent Prosecution Associate with a background in electrical engineering or computer science. Key Responsibilities Prepare and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications Draft high‑quality patent applications and Office Action responses Work directly with inventors, engineers, and in‑house legal teams Support strategic patent portfolio development and management Assist with due diligence, licensing, and litigation support as required Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (Computer Science also considered) Active USPTO registration required 1–4 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting Experience with U.S. and international patent prosecution Industry experience or patent litigation exposure is a plus Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
