FSP - Scientist - Drug Product Analytical

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a scientist to provide analytical support for parenteral drug product development at a customer site in San Diego. The role involves designing and executing chromatographic studies, optimizing formulations, and generating quality data to support preclinical and clinical development.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute analytical testing for formulation screening, stability, and process development studies
- Perform assay, purity, and degradation analysis using reversed-phase HPLC and SEC methods
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain HPLC/UPLC instruments and chromatography data systems
- Collaborate with formulation and analytical development teams on parenteral drug product studies
- Maintain laboratory notebooks, protocols, and pharmaceutical development documentation with high data integrity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related lab science
- Two or more years of relevant experience or master's degree
- Extensive hands-on expertise with HPLC and reversed-phase chromatography
- Proficiency with size-exclusion chromatography and UPLC instrumentation
- Strong scientific troubleshooting and independent problem-solving abilities
- US work authorization without sponsorship required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
