Payroll Administrator

Function: Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, HRIS, Payroll Administration About the Role A detail-oriented Payroll Administrator is responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll for hourly and salaried employees supporting manufacturing operations in Warroad, Minnesota. The role manages biweekly payroll processing, time and attendance validation, payroll records, deductions, bonuses, premiums, tax compliance, payroll reporting, and year-end activities . Acting as a key resource for employees and internal stakeholders, the Payroll Administrator will also help improve payroll processes, maintain accurate HRIS data, and ensure compliance with applicable wage and tax regulations. Key Responsibilities Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Validate timekeeping, attendance, hours worked, overtime, premiums, and other payroll inputs. Maintain accurate employee payroll and HRIS records . Calculate and process deductions, bonuses, premiums, adjustments, and other payroll components. Ensure payroll is processed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local tax and wage regulations . Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries. Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll, deductions, timekeeping, and related questions. Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for Finance and Human Resources . Support payroll tax reporting, audits, and year-end activities including applicable employee tax documentation. Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with HR, Finance, managers, and employees to resolve payroll and timekeeping issues. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, efficiency, and controls. Support payroll system and HRIS updates, testing, and process changes as required. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive employee and payroll information. Requirements Previous experience in payroll administration, payroll processing, payroll accounting, or a related HR/Finance function . Experience processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees . Strong understanding of payroll calculations, deductions, overtime, bonuses, premiums, and timekeeping. Knowledge of payroll tax requirements, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance . Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems . Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling high-volume, time-sensitive payroll activities. Ability to reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently. Strong Excel and payroll reporting skills. Excellent communication and customer-service skills when supporting employees and managers. Ability to handle confidential employee and compensation information appropriately. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet recurring payroll deadlines. Experience in a manufacturing or other multi-shift/hourly workforce environment is advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
